Timothy Sens has been active and prolific as an artist for over 50 years.
His career began in the early seventies when he became interested and intrigued with gemstones and jewelry, specifically turquoise and silver. His passion for the craft of silversmithing led him to being a designer of high end conteporary jewelry and to owning and operating Timothy Sens Designer Jewelers in Boulder, Colorado for most of the ninties.
Along with being a designer of jewelry, there has always been an interest for Timothy in photography. Over the years this alternate medium continued to be a source of inspiration and great satisfaction. Photography with a keen eye for color and the simplistic lines of minimalism, are what drives his artistic pursuits at this time.
Timothy is currently devoted to the full time pursuit of using the digital image as a point of entry into the his vision of abstract minimal art. The emphasis on color and pure line are hallmarks of a mature vision and a strong artistic statement.
In 2003, Timothy and his wife Elyse, moved to Texas from Colorado and made Austin their home. Timothy is active on social media and is currently a member of the administrative body for the international Facebook group, Minimalist Photography, a teaching site in support of helping photographers appreciate and see Minimalism in their imagery. More of his imagery can be seen on line at timothysens.com
