They did a great job framing my art. very happy! I thought their prices were reasonable also.
Melissa and the team at Austin Art and Frame always go above and beyond to make sure every piece of art is meticulously framed.
They have great input when it comes to choosing a frame and have helped me with everything from custom shadowbox frames being built around three dimensional art to assisting with a very specific frame installation that attached to a motorized television enclosure.
Highly recommend!!!
As an interior designer and artist this is my place to go! They are very professional and helpful always!
Dan and Melissa thank you so much!! You guys did such an awesome job framing my art piece print. The quality and experience was A+++++++++.
He does great work. The perfect frame. Meticulous matting and framing. Personal service!!
Does excellent, and very creative custom framing. Austin Art & Frame works very well with their customers. And listen to what their customers want and try to fulfill to the best of their ability the clients needs. A very easy gallery to work with!
Thank you Dan! I am so grateful for the fantastic job you did for me.
My giclee print came out perfect. I will be back with my other art pieces.
You are all so helpful, friendly and courteous. I look forward to working with you in the future.
The attention is very good and they are very good with what they do, they also have work for sale, from recognized established and emerging artists!
I loved this place
I recently used Austin Art and Frame to frame a large 4 x 6 foot pencil drawing of my family tree. It was very important that this be done right and look great as I spent almost a year on the project.
I could not be more pleased with the results. Melissa helped me pick out a wonderful frame that I love and did an outstanding job with the process of framing of this large piece. I was kept updated on the framing work as it progressed and it looks fantastic.
Due to its large size, I asked them to deliver and hang the piece. Dan was extremely knowledgeable about how to best hang this heavy, large drawing. He did the job quickly and flawlessly.
I highly recommend Austin Art and Frame for framing needs and will definitely use them again.
Dan has consistently done an excellent job on my prints.
It is very difficult tell the difference between the original and the print. Actually, the print looks better!
The giclee on canvas of my oil paintings are awesome.
Highly recommend.
Did a great job framing a piece for me. I needed expedited service and they were able to accommodate. Will use again!
Austin Art and Frame did a great job with a large piece we had framed.
They were able to help us narrow down what we were looking for (they have a million choices of frames and matting!) and the colors that would work best for both the art and our home.
I ended up not liking the color of the mat once it was hung, and the staff was kind enough to work with me to find a different color, and replace it for minimal cost.
I appreciate that they went above and beyond to make sure I loved the end result!
On behalf of the board and staff of the Paramount and Stateside Theatres, we thank you for your 6/6/2019 gift-in-kine of the Longhorn Giclee to help support the Paramount's and Stateside's Anniversary Galla on May 11, 2019 starring The B-52's.
This is a great art gallery and frame shop. I highly recommend them for both.
Quality work, fast turnaround. Would definitely recommend.
This is a great art gallery and frame shop. I highly recommend them for both.
This company has been my framer of choice for many years.
I never have to worry about the quality of custom frames they produce because they are the best in town. The only thing better than their service is the amazing group of employees.
I would recommend them to anyone.
I am an artist and find the services and selection at Austin Art and Frame fantastic!
HIghly recommended.
What nice people and beautiful work.
Melissa went above and beyond to make my pictures look good and to touch up the frames that I myself had scratched. Great pricing (way cheaper than Aaron bros) and even better service.
I wouldn't go anywhere else.
Austin Art & Frame has always been there for us when we need a great frame for our client's artwork. They are quick and have great recommendations. It is such and ease working with them I would recommend them to anyone.
I have been using Austin Art & Frame for several years and could not be more pleased with the quality work they do.
Dan is a pro and takes the time to insure I get the best giclee canvas print possible.
Highly Recommended!
Great art selection and professional staff. High quality framing. Would definitely recommend using their services.
Dan does a great job printing giclees on canvas, photographing original art and framing.
Where do I even start! Aside from maybe -- you saved my butt the day before my wedding and THANK YOU!
You have no idea what a blessing it was to know and trust that my groom's gift would be taken care of - and boy was it ever.
You generated such a unique and stunning piece of art - it's our favorite piece in our house by far.
I truly can't thank you enough. Joyfully, Taylor Adlers
I recently had a reproduction of a Tibetan thangka painting enlarged, printed, and framed for me by Austin Art and Frame.
Melissa was very knowledgeable and helpful in picking the best mats for the print, and she patiently examined and discussed numerous mat possibilities with me.
Dan was extremely adept at producing the correct colors, shading, highlights, and subtle nuances of this very intricate painting, and he produced an absolutely gorgeous print. The completed work was beautifully matted and framed, and my husband and I absolutely love it!
We definitely will return to Austin Art and Frame to have additional art framed. We highly recommend this superlative gallery!
I have been framing all my art work with Austin Art & Frame. They are certainly knowledgable, professionals and very detailed oriented. Their work is superb!
I would first like to say that I do an internship here. Because of this, I will have some bias but I will keep this as objective as I can.
I am an artist and have several national and international art shows to my credit. I have also been listed as one of Photographer's Forum top student photographer for 2017. One of the things I see other artists overlooking time and time again is good mounting and framing. I have seen people put work that they have spent dozens of hours on in a $10 Hobby Lobby frame for a show. One of the best things you can do for your art is quality framing and AA&F is one of the best places around. I have worked with a few of the framing shops around here and many more in other parts of the country. From interning there I have seen their ability to build just about anything that people can think up.
Both Dan and Melissa are artists and that makes a huge difference when working with somebody on framing. They listen well and use their years of experience to elevate the work whether that means for the frame to get out of the way and disappear or become a part of the artwork itself. They pride themselves in the details and treat all the artwork they are working on as if it was their own work.
Like I said they can custom make just about anything and they also have a large selection of ready-made frames. They have one of the largest selection of moldings and glass/acrylic options I have seen.
The gallery is also beautiful with many local artists represented. They can also install work in the Austin area.
Austin Art & Frame is the best frame shop I have used in over thirty years in Austin.
I am an artist and use them frequently for my work. I am always impressed by their friendly and excellent customer service, quality work, attention to detail, and prompt turnaround.
Their prices are also reasonable. Dan, the owner, and Melissa, the manager, are great to work with - Melissa is an artist and has an great eye, and is very helpful in finding the perfect frame and mat.
I wouldn't go anywhere else for my frames.
I have been going to Austin Art & Frame for over ten years now, and have followed it to several locations. I would not go anywhere else for my framing needs.
Their wide selection, excellent customer service, prompt turnaround, attention to detail, and quality work all keep me coming back. Customer satisfaction is very important to Dan, the owner, and Melissa, the manager and designer. Melissa is an artist and has an excellent eye, and has guided me very well in my frame choice and design. I trust her taste and style implicitly, and I know the work will be done conscientiously.
Dan and Melissa are the best!
I am a catastrophic thinker. That fact regarding my thought process comes into play when I write this golden five star review. The reason is because I held on to this unframed painting for about four and a half years before fate and a bit of luck led me to Dan and Austin Art & Frame.
The painting was of huge importance/sentimental value to me. When I was twenty one years old I moved from Vermont to a rundown city in Northern California with my thirteen year old sister. I had become her legal guardian. In this Californian city, a very talented instructor at the local college I attended took both my sister and me in and taught us the finer things in life. Art.The art of cooking. Manners. He was both my mentor and a father figure. For two years he helped me raise my sister as a loving and platonic parental figure.
That is the background on why this unframed painting is so valuable to me. It was the only tangible gift from this mentor (whose name is Robert Soffian) for my 33rd birthday. I carried this unframed painting from Northern California (where it was presented in a tube in the mail while I was a HSU student) to Austin, Texas. I will be 37 years old this coming November.
Over the years it traveled hidden in it's tube, because I simply gave up hope that this transparent painting of an unorthodox size with mounds of built-in texture could be framed without destroying its beauty, let alone accentuate the artist's technique.
Dan humbled me greatly. He allowed me to chose how I wanted it framed every step of the way. He came up with clever ideas for framing, then asked me what I thought of those ideas. One example he suggested was to add a bit of depth between the museum quality glass to the top of the painting to highlight the texture. He suggested a beige color to make the transparent painting 'pop' to the view. Honestly, he made the painting better with his suggestions.
Of all my Yelp reviews, none are more worthy of five stars then this review. I've had this painting in my living room now for three days. When I wake up and pass it to make my morning coffee, my day is already off to a great start. I am so happy. So happy that I can only gush at how thankful I am that they put so much thought into something that will be with me for the rest of my life.
At first I thought the price was too high, but it was worth every penny. I've had other work framed before, but I could not vouch for any company in the past with a painting as complicated to frame as this painting was; with quality and professionalism. Dan exceeded my dreams of having this birthday present framed in a manner to show texture, color, and the quality. Wow. Highly recommended. Hopefully they won't mind me coming back in the future.
Dan made sure that the artist's signature (R.Soffian) was visible using clever ideas. This was painted with transparent paper. Dan made this work high end. A lesser frame store could not do what he did.
The quality and customer service that I received at Austin Art & Frame were most impressive. I highly recommend this company!
Thank you so much for the professional and energetic "Go Figure" exhibition. Your hard work and dedication were evident to all.
As an artist, I felt appreciated and supported. It is a pleasure showing my work in your gallery. Have a joyous and prosperous week.
I have attended three Gallery events at Austin Fine Art Gallery, the gallery event division of Austin Fine Art & Frame. Each show has been better then the last, and I have been blown away by the artwork, knowledge, courteousness and upbeat feel of the space.
The level of fun they generate at their events on a consistent basis is another reason to make events at Austin Fine Art Gallery a must attend invite that should not be missed.
Unbeknownst to many art aficionados, this Westlake gem is not just a high end frame shop, it is also a top notch gallery. In my opinion they have the best collection of fine art, especially new talent and artists on the rise, for sale on a day to day basis any place in Austin, including downtown.
For many years they were mainly a framing shop; but a slew of artist connections, great location, and the perfect configuration of their space for showing art made an increased focus on the gallery side of the business a smart move and welcome addition to the Austin Art Scene.
Austin Art & Frame is well known as an expert framing operation, and for this they deserve five stars; but I needed to let people who are unaware of their gallery, it too is an amazing place worthy of five stars and a visit to see the incredible artwork hanging on the walls!
This place does amazing work.
I do a lot of pencil artwork on art paper for people. Dan helped me copy my drawings and stretched them on canvas. They look amazing.
I searched all over Austin and surrounding areas for a place that could make good prints of my artwork. He took the time and precision on my sketches that I was looking for. The shades were an exact match. Awesome work!
Love having you guys there and working with me. I recommend this place to anyone and everyone in the art business. Thanks guys!
On behalf of the Hill Country Conservancy, thank you for very much for your donation for our Hill Country Nights Auction, held on Sept 19th, 2014.
We are grateful for your investment in land conservation and appreciate your kind support of HCC's "Vast Open Spaces" mission. Your generosity contributed to a very successful event for Hill Country Conservancy.
Thank you again for being involved in preserving the special places, scenic vistas, river, streams, and working ranches of the Texas Hill Country.
Dan, it (photo collage on canvas with over 100 images) is absolutely amazingly beautiful! I love, love, love it. Bob will be surprised and awed.
You are a superb creator artist and great to work with me. I appreciate all your time and Talent. Melissa, too, kudos. I can't thank you enough. For everything. Hope you get lots of comments on it.
On behalf of the Board and volunteers of Love-A-Bull, I would like to thank you for supporting our Texas-Sized Pittie Pride weekend in celebration of National Pit Bull Awareness Day this year.
Special thanks for providing the 12x12 "All Heart" framed Pittie Painting, as well as helping to promote the event.
Thank you very much for your help and creativity in framing my poem. It was a big hit! I had to read it to two separate groups of people that night in Kirkland, WA.
I am so grateful for your help at such short notice - and of course for your great eye. I have tremendous confidence in you and I really enjoy framing things with you.
I must shout out for Austin Art & Frame!
I acquired a vintage poster that needed "just the right" framing. Dan spent the time to work with me with recommendations that produced an impressive outcome! I am enjoying the result every time I look. Bravo! Dan, and many thanks.
I just completed an order of several large pieces of framed canvas and photos on archival quality paper with Dan's great advice at Austin Art and Frame. We worked through challenges in adjusting my digital images, selecting the medium and the framing and discussing the best pricing options for the way I wanted to present my work. Dan was so easy to work with and I couldn't be more pleased with the results.
The images on paper and canvas were complimented by the quality of the frames, a decision that required Dan's patience, as we worked thorough many options. I highly recommend Austin Art and Frame to both artists and patrons of the arts who are interested in the highest quality and style within a budget they will help you to honor. I don't intend to go to anyone else and am very glad to have found them.
Thank you for your donation of prints to the Hill Country Middle School Teacher Breakroom Update. The teachers were so excited with the finished product. Your prints made a big difference! I appreciate your commitment to the community.
On behalf of Hill Country Middle School and our staff, I want to thank you for your generous donation of art pieces for our "1st Ever Staff Lounge Makeover".
We've been able to create an area for staff to comfortably eat, meet, and relax in during their usual busy days at school. Thank you again for being a community partner with HCMS and for making this project possible!
I went to Austin Art & Frame to get ideas for shadow boxes for a jersey. Their website was very helpful but I wanted to see in person what they had to get a better idea. When I arrived, I was greeted by Melissa, one of the owners who was very knowledgeable and helpful. Coming in I had no idea what I was looking for but she was able to give me great ideas and made it easy and painless. I would definitely recommend coming here and their prices are fair for the quality and service you are getting.
I just dropped off an 11"x14" print that I wanted to get framed, and I had a wonderful first impression. They were in the midst of setting up for an art exhibition when I walked in, but I was immediately greeted by Melissa, one of the owners. I had an idea of what type of frame I wanted, a simple, black, pre-made frame. I was presented with several options, and Melissa made some helpful suggestions (this one really draws the eye to that, etc). I made my selection and was told my framed print would be ready on Monday (2-3 days).
On their website, it says they have the largest selection of "mouldings, mats, and art anywhere in Central Texas," and after having been to their store, I can totally vouch for that. If you have anything to get framed, I would definitely trust the expertise of Austin Art and Frame. (It's located next to Panera Bread on Bee Caves Rd.)
Dan and Mellisa helped me solve a big problem at my new home: How to display photos from my Africa Safari? I knew that I wanted them in a stairwell, but was tired of framed and matted items and wanted to do something "different" since the pictures themselves were so fantastic!
They helped by recommending a print and mount concept on boards with beveled edges that sit out from the wall about .5 inch. Their photo enlargements blew me away with their detail and the mounting exceeded any expectation that I had!
Happy to show pics of the wall, which has jaws dropping at my house!
Have no doubt about the quality of workmanship, design expertise, or personal attention Melissa and Dan provide.
Frankly, we are fussy people and finding a company to listen to our needs and add their design talents and framing skills was not easy. With Melissa and Dan, we are confident that every finished project will make us proud when we have it in our home.
Dear Melissa and Dan, We love the photos and frames and so do the fundraising committee! We are so excited to be presenting them to donors this week. Thank you. thank you, than you! Ann
You do incredible work! Thank you so much for you ongoing support!-Cheyenne. The photos and frames are beautiful! Thank you!!!-Emma. Thank you so much for your support!-Johanna. Thanks!-Harper, Frank, Butch. Awesomely Beautiful - Thanks!-George.
"When I chose Art USA to frame a document for me, I did so because of the positive reviews I read on this web site.
Melissa helped me by choosing a mat and frame for a legal document we were presenting to a client. When I picked up the finished product, I could not have been more pleased. It is professional looking with beautiful undertones. Her choices for the matting and the layout of the document were perfect in creating exactly what we wanted.
I will absolutely return to Art USA for any future framing project."
"I worked with Dan and Melissa to furnish our corporate offices with pieces of art. They walked me through the entire process, from ordering the prints to selecting the framing to hanging the finished pieces in our offices.
Everything we purchased from Art USA turned out beautifully and complements our offices perfectly. They seem to be able to adjust to anyone's personal style and pull choices that are made for each piece.
I enjoyed working with both Dan and Melissa and look forward to coming to them again with any future projects."
"I lucked in to this shop and to Melissa shortly after moving to Austin and she is spectacular. I was changing up my surroundings completely and Melissa really helped me find what I liked surrounding art. She has an excellent eye and is always open to playing with colors and textures and she lets me have the time and support I need to play and then settle on a decision. I live in North Austin and probably pass 100 art and framing shops to come here. I have found Art USA to be a wonderful balance of beauty and professionalism."
"I have had the good fortunate to work with Melissa and Dan at ART USA for several years.
My first encounter was to have something framed and felt I could select something myself, a task harder than I expected. Melissa and Dan politely observed and then asked if they might help by pulling a few different mats and framing ideas. I was pleasantly surprised with their careful selection and realized they had a better eye for what complimented my piece of art than I did.
Needless to say that was my last attempt to do it myself. I now give them a free hand with trust and value their professionalism and expertise.
Melissa is a talented artist and enjoy the painting she has provided for our home, offfice, and gifts"
"I walked into the Bee Caves store and immediately spotted the perfect print. The staff spent over an hour helping me with the frame and matts. The job was completed on time and they did a fantastic job. I was very pleased with their professionalism and skill."
"i could not be more pleased with the exceptional job dan and melissa have consistently done for me in framing my art work. they are always very helpful, very professional and always prompt. just a pleasure to work with.
i would highly recommend them to anyone needing framing work. an extra bonus: they have beautiful artwork for sale."
"I\'ve been having work done by Art USA for quite a few years and have always been very satisified. They are always extremely courteous and knowledgable.
I always enjoy bringing pieces in to be framed - I\'ve brought everything from jigsaw puzzles put together on family vacations to rather expensive paintings. Melissa ia always able to help with the framing and matting design and colors. "
"It is with pleasure that I offer my thanks to Melissa and Dan for all of their work with me over the past 10-15 years.
Melissa in particular has been instrumental in framing many unique pieces in my collection. She has framed many museum type pieces, game used jerseys, staged played guitars, and historical letters and documents.
The quality of work by Art USA distinguishes them from their competitors. They are also sensitive to work product that many of us provide for charities around Austin and Central Texas.
Equally important to me is the way Dan and Melissa treat their customers. They are fair in their pricing and always stand behind their finished product.
I do not go anywhere else for my framing needs. Many thanks to the two of you for your professionalism and friendship."
"John and I have used ArtUSA for the last 15 years with all of our framing needs. They have continued to be consistant in their professionalism and timeliness.
Their experience enables them to be a partner in the "choosing process" of framing a piece of art perfectly. We have never once regretted our framing choices when we have worked with them through the process."
"Thank you Dan and Melissa for making our December so special.
You guys helped us select the perfect frames for our prints. The Rod Chase print receives so many compliments for all who see it.
I'm so glad you are in the neighborhood. ArtUSA will be my first stop when looking for something special."
"Dan spent HOURS with us matching frames, matting, mouldings, etc. to a series of antique maps. They are all fantastic!
Our Great Room has taken on a whole new feel and warmth.
If you want the personal service that so many shops pride themselves on, this is definitely the place to go. And go again."
"This is the best gallery in Austin! I have all my framing done here, and wouldn't go anywhere else. Dan and Melissa are simply the best! I get so many compliments on my Burmese tapestry that you all framed for me, as well as all the other pieces you've done for me. Thanks to both of you for always doing such superiour work!"
"This is the best kept secret in town. This small but stylish gallery-frame shop is conveniently located on Bee Caves near Mopac in the Mira Vista Shopping Center close to Panera Bread. The gallery part of the store houses an incredible selection of art, especially pieces from a young upcoming artist named Melissa Kotseva. Her work is abstract impressionism and is breathtaking. You must see it!!
The framing part of the gallery has the best selection of frames in town. The atmosphere is beyond friendly and helpful. They go out of their way to make the customer happy.Framing is fast and professional.
Don't miss out on this fabulous gallery in West Lake Hills."
"The friendly folk at ART USA can frame any photograph, artwork and historical document
to museum quality and are just as competitive on "just for fun" framing of favorite posters!"
