We are excited to present the theme for our next show:

Flux and Flame

We invite our artists to explore Alchemy - the ancient art of transformation - and its deep connection to both science and the elemental forces of earth, air, fire, and water.

Transformation is a natural, constant force that affects us subtly every day. Through our actions and desires, we can also create change in ourselves and the world. Art embodies this power — cathartic and transformative, it deepens and uplifts the human experience.

All subjects are welcome. Whether inspired by mysticism or molecular change, let your work reflect how art, like alchemy, transforms the ordinary into the extraordinary!

All media and sizes will be accepted for review.

The deadline for submissions is August 4th using the link below. We will notify you of the results within few days afterwards.

The Exhibit Opening of Flux & Flame will be held Saturday, August 23rd, 4-6pm. We will run the exhibit through October 31st. Unsold art pickup will be in November.

We encourage text (Art Notes) to be submitted with the art: the story, the symbolism, and any questions- so that the artist engages the viewer . We will print these to accompany the art along with artist tag so please double check for typos and spelling errors.

You may submit unlimited images. If your art is selected , you will receive an email with more info and a link for a one-time fee of a $50 secure payment for the Flux & Flame exhibit.

You MUST use the link below to submit your work. Emails do not work with our format.

When submitting images, it is important to select the Exhibit name: Flux and Flame.

To submit past submissions not shown before, simply login, click on your artwork to see it large, click UPDATE, and under the Exhibit drop down, select "Flux and Flame", and at the bottom of the page click UPDATE ART DATA.

We are looking for your best current, original artwork which has not been shown in our gallery. We have simplified the submission process, but if you have any issues, please contact us.

Attendance at the Exhibit Opening is preferred, as its important for our guests to meet the artists, and mingle with other Austin artists.

The artist/gallery split on sales is 60/40. WE DO NOT ACCEPT ANY WORK NOT READY TO HANG. ALL ART MUST BE READY TO HANG WITH WIRE OR D-RINGS. NO SAW-TOOTH HANGERS ALLOWED. We will generate & display art labels with prices from your submission information.

Austin Fine Art Gallery will provide Refreshments and Food for the exhibit opening.

We will be happy to provide any imaging, printing, matting, backing, mounting, stretching, and framing services for artists with a discount of 35% - 50% on all in stock materials.

Art drop-off is August 15th/16th. If you are framing art with us, please drop off BEFORE August 12th.
