Beyond the Ranch Gate by artist Celeste Smith

This painting is another in my Texas Landscapes series. Having grown up on a south Texas ranch, I love this particular landscape. While returning from a trip to Denver in May 2023, we stopped along the highway near Mason, Texas to switch drivers. This view was stunning! It had just rained late in the afternoon, and the yellow goldeneye wildflowers were everywhere! I made notes, took photos, and came home to my studio to paint the scene.
