Al Jones has been involved in creative aspects of art since he was child. His mother used to say that Al would draw on anything, including walls, cabinets, books, and other people's property. Al earned a Bachelors degree in Education with an fine art specialization. Although he was trained in most all fine art mediums, his greatest love was working with various types of fibers and papers. Following graduating from college he taught art for a few years in the public school system before finding his niche teaching art as self-expression to individuals suffering from various aspects of severe mental illness. Although Al is no longer teaching art, he continues to be involved in the creative process working in a variety of modalities that express his Christian faith journey.
