My journey as an artist began at the age of seven, as I discovered the world of painting with my grandmother, right at her kitchen counter. It has been a lifelong passion ever since. When I create, I draw upon heart-felt memories and ordinary moments, seeking to make art that reflects a sense of peace, balance, and beauty. Nature is a favorite source of inspiration for me, and my daily meditation practice helps me cultivate a full-bodied sense of calm. This inner serenity has become the core inspiration of my artwork. As a contemporary abstract painter, I primarily work with acrylics. I start with a simple composition, which becomes layered and excavated, then layered again to create depth. I'm always seeking 'the light' within each piece, creating subtle tensions between hues and tones, dark and light. Ultimately, I engage in a conversation with the piece and mix the physical act of painting with creative decision-making, building upon the energy of my initial strokes to keep my work authentic. The result is an image with an overall sense of energetic tranquility. My ability to ground myself is mirrored in my art. It adds depth and emotion to my work, allowing viewers to connect on a deeper level. My art provides solace and a meditative experience for those who engage with it, thanks to the connection between my inner world and my artistic expression.
