I am a California native living in the Austin, TX area, whose artistic journey has spanned multiple media, including photography, art glass, woodworking, and acrylics, often influenced by early 20th-century art forms. Currently, I focus on creating acrylic paintings on canvas, emphasizing color and texture to shape the direction and theme of each piece. My work is rooted in free-form abstraction, often where compositions emerge spontaneously without preconceived ideas about color or subject matter. The process is intuitive, allowing brushes and other tools to guide the unfolding of each painting. I often find inspiration in color, nature, and the time of day, though no particular scene comes to mind; rather, mood dictates a creative flow. I keep my technique straightforward yet expressive: I work with an intuitive approach, combined with sensitivity to color and texture, to create art that is unique and evocative.
