I have been painting for 50 yrs. During this time, I have hiked, fished, backpacked, played tennis, married, raised a girl, taught, worked as a librarian. Finally settled in Austin, Texas. Took classes at Laguna Gloria, UT, Ghost Ranch and from various other art teachers.
Always learning by absorbing , observing, and painting! ALWAYS WAITING FOR A DARING HOME OWNER TO BELIEVE IN ME. I love colors and texture! The colors must work together and have a mother color to pull from. No matter what my choice of art takes, the colors are the important criteria. Impressionism includes tonalists as well as colorists and photos as a reference, all of which I use.
Also, I love gardening!! Colors and shapes are important here too! That why I love collage and layering, this medium has always stayed steady since day one. I like art to be a little irregular. Imperfect is more interesting.
