Suman Sharma has mastered the art of expressing herself through the mediums of oil- paint and canvas. Having been artistically inclined from an early age, she has since spent her life sating her creative thirst through sketching, painting, and sculpting.
However, painting has always been what she enjoyed most. She received her formal art education from the Delhi College of Art, 1980-1984. She moved to Austin, Texas in 1985 and has since traveled to nearly every corner of the globe. Her view of the world has been changed by these experiences, and they have helped add a unique ethnic flare to her warm style.
Suman uses color to tell stories, and touch deep emotions. Unafraid to use bold reds and contrasting whites, she creates beautiful, ethereal figures that are both human and divine. Through her flowing lines and vibrant explosions of color she forms abstract symbols deeply rooted in her personal experiences that move you spiritually, emotionally, and artistically. Each stroke is a journey, and she invites you to travel with her.
