Tara Gibb is a self taught artist living in Austin, TX since 2014. She is originally from Pittsburgh, PA, where she was born and raised. Tara works in several mediums, including charcoal, graphite, acrylic, watercolor, and pastels. While she does enjoy realism in other artists' works, the main focus in her own art is surrealism and the abstract. She is also an amateur photographer, with a deep appreciation for nature and animals.

Tara's love and passion for art and all things creative has led to several projects over the years. She participated in a city mural for her hometown while she was in high school that is still there to this day, almost 30 years later. She also won several writing awards over the years and even had a short story published in her youth.

Tara has always greatly admired and been inspired by the works of artists like Ansel Adams, Rembrandt, Klimt, and Kandinsky. Her greatest inspiration, however, is everyday life; making the mundane fascinating and surreal interpretation of the simplistic is her overall artistic goal.
